Programs Used: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
11 x 17 inches

This project is based on my final for Visual Thinking 1, where we focused on the diverse flora of the Huntington Garden and explored patterns in nature. To prepare for the final, our class took a field trip to photograph the plants, each choosing a specific prompt to guide our observations. For this poster, I was inspired by the variety of cacti found in the desert garden. Drawing inspiration from Henri Matisse’s use of organic shapes, I aimed to create abstract representations of cacti using similar, organic forms.
